Gogglebox star Amy Tapper has showed off her new look after dropping from a size 26 to a size 18. Amy, who shot to fame when she was just 13 years old, has lost eight stone through a combination of medication and exercise.<\/a><\/p>\n

Sharing a glam selfie on Wednesday, 8 April, the TV star ditched her curly locks for a straightened hair ‘do and wore a nose stud. Sitting in her car with a pair of sunglasses on, Amy captioned her post: ‘Oh hey, me again x’.<\/p>\n

Amy joined long-running Channel 4 show Gogglebox<\/a> for its first-ever series back in 2013, with the rest of her family, dad Jonathan, mum Nikki and older brother Josh. It didn’t take long for the Tapper family to become firm favourites with fans thanks to their hilarious quips.<\/p>\n

However, the family quit the show shortly after son Josh left in 2017 to work in government and Amy quit to appear on Celebs Go Dating<\/a> in 2018.<\/p>\n

Since her Gogglebox exit, Amy has undergone a major weight loss transformation and has been keeping fans updated on her journey, as well as sharing glimpses into her fitness regime.<\/p>\n

She opened up about the reality of her weight loss journey after using Mounjaro, firmly stating the injection isn’t a miracle solution. Mounjaro is described by the NHS as “a weight loss medicine that makes you feel fuller for longer and therefore less hungry”.<\/p>\n

According to the health service, it can be prescribed to address weight-related health conditions, including those linked to type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.<\/p>\n

During an appearance on The Relaxback UK Show podcast, Amy detailed her journey with Mounjaro and sought to challenge common misconceptions surrounding the treatment, reports the Daily Star.<\/a><\/p>\n

She explained: “Yes, the weight has come off a hell of a lot quicker than it usually would, but it’s not a quick fix – done, dusted, that’s it, end of. I’m still going to be injecting myself every week for the rest of my life. I am absolutely over the moon to be saying that, because I know that it’s going to keep me exactly where I need to be.”<\/p>\n

During the podcast, Amy was questioned about how the medication has transformed her, and whether she could maintain healthy eating patterns if she discontinued the drug.<\/p>\n

She dismissed this suggestion, clarifying that she has always maintained good habits, but that her mindset is now more “peaceful” and free from food-related thoughts thanks to the medication.<\/p>\n

She elaborated: “I think a lot of people think these habits only begin when you do the injections, whereas for someone like me, who’s tried all my life, I’ve always exercised. I’ve always eaten well.<\/p>\n

“When I’ve gone on a diet in the past, it [the body] hasn’t really noticed the difference because from such a young age, I’ve always had to watch what I’ve eaten and be really clean with it, and always stay as active as I possibly could.”<\/p>\n

She continued: “There were times when I would see my personal trainer three times a week when I was starting, and this was before the medication.<\/p>\n

“I think that it’s so easy for people to think that, ‘Oh well, now that it’s changed your habits, even if you come off it, it will just change them forever’.<\/p>\n

“But my point was, my habits have always been the same. What’s changed is what’s in my mind, and how quiet and peaceful it is. I don’t need to think about anything.<\/p>\n

“It’s just a peaceful, peaceful mind, and that’s if I actually go for dinner with my friends.
