Image: Race Project<\/p>\n<p>The two Supercars stars have each signed undisclosed contract extensions, only described as \u201cmulti-year\u201d continuations of their current agreements.<\/p>\n<p>Mostert is in his seventh season with the Walkinshaw squad while Wood is in his third.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaking sure both Chaz and Ryan are locked in long-term was a key priority for us, and one that didn\u2019t require any debate amongst the team,\u201d said Walkinshaw.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are not only outstanding talents behind the wheel but help lead our culture perfectly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe way they work together is really important as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey not only push each other to be better, they push us as a team to be better, and they ensure we are all working together, with the same goal in mind.<\/p>\n<p>Win a limited edition 1:18 scale model #8 BJR Camaro. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rjbatt.com.au\/win-ltd-edition-model-8-camaro\" style=\"color: red;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Enter Now. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth of these long-term deals mean there\u2019s no question marks, we can focus on winning races and hopefully winning more championships.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe couldn\u2019t be more excited to have them here with us well into the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mostert\u2019s name was something of a footnote in last year\u2019s silly season amid questions over the team\u2019s switch from Ford to Toyota.<\/p>\n<p>Any doubts were ultimately put to bed by winning the title at the Adelaide Grand Final.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1013674\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/JM1_3966.jpg\" alt=\"Chaz Mostert celebrates winning the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship.\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1280\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Chaz Mostert celebrates winning the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship. Image: Jack Martin<\/p>\n<p>Dan Towriss, who is the \u2018TWG\u2019 in Walkinshaw TWG Racing, said securing Mostert and Wood to long-term agreements was chief among the team\u2019s interests this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth Chaz and Ryan are incredible talents behind the wheel, so ensuring they aren\u2019t going anywhere was essential for us, and an easy decision,\u201d said Towriss.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere wasn\u2019t any immediate time pressure to do so, but it was really important to lock both away.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve put our faith in one another, and I can\u2019t wait to see what it brings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve achieved some amazing things together already, and I\u2019m certain there is a lot more in store for us all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While he has yet to win a race or stand on the podium in the seven races to date this season, Mostert\u2019s signature is a vote of confidence for Toyota and its fledgling program.<\/p>\n<p>Walkinshaw TWG Racing (formerly Walkinshaw Andretti United) brought Mostert his first Supercars drivers\u2019 championship in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The Melbourne-born, Gold Coast-based driver said staying with the team was ultimately an \u201ceasy\u201d decision.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis team has been like my family for the last seven years and there is no where I would rather be, so I\u2019m pumped to know I\u2019m here for the long haul,\u201d said Mostert.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve had each other\u2019s backs through the highs and lows over the years, we had some big goals when I joined, and as awesome as 2025 was to finally achieve what we worked so hard for, we aren\u2019t done with yet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s no doubt this new era we started this year with Toyota is the most exciting yet, so much has happened already, and I can\u2019t wait to see what the future brings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was an easy decision from my end to keep going, and I\u2019m glad the Team has showed the faith back.
