Austin recommends doing each exercise for 15 reps on each side.<\/p>\n<p>Standing knee crunches<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"5\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Austin begins standing next to her chair, with one hand on the chair\u2019s back for support and the other holding the hand weight. \u201cBring your elbow towards your knee, and lift back up,\u201d she demonstrates, bending the elbow of her weighted arm in front of her while lifting the knee on the same side. She then lowers the knee while lifting the weight straight above her head.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"6\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">\u201cThis is working your abs and balancing, using the core muscles to help balance,\u201d Austin explains. \u201cAnd you\u2019re also strengthening the leg in front of you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Standing side knee crunches<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"8\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">For the second move in the workout, Austin repeats the same action, but this time turning out her moving leg and arm to the side. \u201cThis is working different muscles: The spine, the core, your arms, and full body,\u201d she explains. \u201cReally feel the balance in your body, strengthening and lengthening through the abdominals. Your spine is your lifeline.
