Enter Shikari<\/a> have announced a string of tiny shows to celebrate the surprise release of their new album \u2018Lose Your Self\u2019.<\/p>\n

The band\u2019s eighth album dropped with no warning today (April 10), following an intimate show at Satan\u2019s Hollow in Manchester last night<\/a> (April 9) to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their first show in the city.<\/p>\n

That gig will be followed up with three outstore shows later this month. The first will take place at Liverpool\u2019s The Cavern on April 23, after which the band will head to Kingston\u2019s Fighting Cocks on April 24 and London\u2019s Signature Brew on April 25.<\/p>\n

Frontman Rou Reynolds has spoken to NME\u00a0about sparking unity at a time when people can feel more isolated than ever.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the main things that produces nihilism is that feeling of, \u2018Oh I\u2019m just one person, what can I do?\u2019 This album at its core is a criticism of hyper-individualism,\u201d he explained. \u201cIt goes against the idea that we\u2019re divided from each other and disconnected from the natural world. That is the core tenet of capitalism, and it\u2019s becoming more and more dangerous.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s starting to be normalised and it feels so concrete because it\u2019s all we\u2019ve known for decades. It\u2019s like we all have completely forgotten our power as a collective\u2026 but hat\u2019s how the system protects itself. It forces individualism down our throats and backs us all into a corner until we\u2019re like, \u2018This is just how it is and how it\u2019ll always be\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the reasoning for dropping the album with no pronouncement, he said: \u201cThere\u2019s no lead-up. There are no singles. There\u2019s no drip-feeding people information about the albums. Instead, it\u2019s like, \u2018Here it is. Absorb it.\u2019 That excites me because it means that people will be listening to the album in full and taking it in. They won\u2019t be skipping songs because they\u2019re not the singles they\u2019ve already heard. It makes it into one entity.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPlus, we got the Number One on the last record, so it means we don\u2019t have to think so cynically about anything,\u201d he added. \u201cWe can just put this out as we want it to be out.\u201d<\/p>\n

The St Albans rock band will kick off their new dates on November 3 at the Sporthalle in Hamburg, and the run of shows include further dates in Munich, Brussels, Tilburg and more throughout the month. It also includes their biggest ever German headline show, which will be held at D\u00fcsseldorf\u2019s Mitsubishi Halle, and welcome 7,500 fans.<\/p>\n

UK dates commence later in the month with a show at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham on November 13. This is followed by gigs in Cardiff and Hull, as well as their first ever show in Glasgow and biggest venue to date in Manchester. The run ends with two back-to-back stops at London\u2019s Alexandra Palace on November 20 and 21.<\/p>\n

The band will be joined by Holding Absence and The Callous Daoboys as support for both the European and UK leg, and every ticket sold for the band\u2019s UK dates will include a \u00a31 donation to the\u00a0LIVE Trust\u00a0<\/a>\u2013 protecting,\u00a0expanding\u00a0and\u00a0supporting grassroots music in the UK.
