Bring Me The Horizon<\/a> have announced a 20th anniversary re-recording of their debut album \u2018Count Your Blessings\u2019, and have confirmed that they\u2019ll be playing the album in full at Outbreak later this year.<\/p>\n

The record first arrived in 2006 and saw the soon-to-be metal giants bring their signature deathcore sound at the time to a global audience, with singles including \u2018Pray for Plagues\u2019, \u2018Slow Dance\u2019 and \u2018A Lot Like Vegas\u2019. Now, two decades down the line and following on from the band ascending to festival headliners, they have announced plans to revisit the album and present it in a new light.<\/p>\n

Set for release on July 10, \u2018Count Your Blessings | Repented\u2019 has been fully re-recorded by the band, and is described by them as a \u201creactivation\u201d and \u201crecontextualisation\u201d of the 2006 release, rather than a retrospective glance back.<\/p>\n

Led by frontman Oli Sykes<\/a> and guitarist Lee Malia, the record also sees them work with Buster Odeholm on mixing and presents their debut album in a way that is \u201creborn, sharper, heavier, and more vital than ever.\u201d<\/p>\n

The tracklist is reimagined with a new sense of intensity, and the band have also leaned into the raw edges seen in the initial release \u2013 revisiting them with 20 years more experience under their belt as well as more expansive, modern production.<\/p>\n

To help celebrate the new release, Bring Me The Horizon have also announced a landmark performance at Manchester\u2019s B.E.C. Arena, as part of Outbreak<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dubbed \u2018Outbreak Presents: Count Your Blessings | Repented\u2019, the band will use that gig to play the album in its entirety for the first time, and also break out some other material from the era.<\/p>\n

It is co-curated with Outbreak, and will see Oli Sykes and co. joined by Static Dress<\/a> and Dying Wish<\/a>. Like the forthcoming album, the gig is designed to \u201creactivate\u201d the debut record rather than simply look back at it, and has been structured to feel like \u201ca defining moment for a generation of fans \u2014 both those who were there at the beginning and those discovering it now.\u201d<\/p>\n

The latest announcements from BMTH comes shortly after the Sheffield band held a 48-hour digital broadcast<\/a> of their L.I.V.E. In S\u00e3o Paulo concert film<\/a>, ahead of it arriving on streaming platforms last Friday (April 10).<\/p>\n

Last year, Sykes also spoke to NME at Reading 2025<\/a> about what else the band has planned, and revealed that 12 more songs could be arriving at some point as part of the \u2018Director\u2019s Cut\u2019 of their latest album, \u2018Post Human: Nex Gen\u2019<\/a> \u2013 although it may take a while as he has become the father of twins<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe music will come, but it\u2019s just not the be-all and end-all,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re realising that we don\u2019t have to put another record out; we just put one out. Most bands would go away for two years, have an actual break. You don\u2019t have to do this, but I want to and I enjoy it. If it doesn\u2019t happen, then it doesn\u2019t happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

BMTH have dropped some new music already since the new year began, including the ravey but heavy collab with Illenium, \u2018Slave To The Rithim.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

As well as that, Sykes has announced his new live production company Patient Zero<\/a> \u2013 after debuting the visuals for Illenium\u2019s live show at the Vegas Sphere \u2013 and they have also announced a limited vinyl edition of \u2018Lo-Files\u2019 <\/a>for Record Store Day 2026<\/a>, as well as a special pressing of \u2018Bad Life\u2019 with Sigrid<\/a>.<\/p>\n
