\u201cI thought, \u2018Surely there\u2019s nothing inside that bag\u2019. Then I got a stick and moved the bag. The entire bag started to move.\u201d<\/p>\n
Then, the cries got louder.<\/p>\n

Jade carefully opened up the bag and saw what appeared to be \u201ca small animal inside\u201d, she said, but she wasn\u2019t sure what it was at first.<\/p>\n
After looking closely, Jade said she found two tiny newborn kittens.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey were still wet and they were freezing cold,\u201d she said. \u201cTheir eyes weren\u2019t open yet. I knew that they were very, very young.\u201d<\/p>\n
She googled what to do and put them in a cardboard box.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt said that they can\u2019t regulate their own temperature, so the first thing you have to do is make sure they\u2019re warm. I heated up a water bottle and wrapped it in some blankets and put them in a laundry basket.\u201d<\/p>\n

She got some milk from the shop and began to feed them with a syringe.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I came into the laundry in the morning and I heard them crying, it was such a sense of relief that they were still alive. Now I had to figure out what to do with them.\u201d<\/p>\n
She reached out to multiple animal help organisations but couldn\u2019t find anyone to help until she got to Hills Cat Rescue, which took the kittens in.<\/p>\n
Hills Cat Rescue\u2019s Cindy Easterbrook told 9News the kittens were only days old. She said if anyone finds themselves in a similar situation, the newborns need to get heat, food and fluids.<\/p>\n

Jade said even though the experience must have been horrible for the kittens she was \u201cglad they had each other,\u201d calling them \u201cfighters\u201d.<\/p>\n
Despite the help Jade and Hills Cat Rescue gave the kittens, one of the rescued animals has since died.<\/p>\n
