In an Instagram post<\/a> on Saturday, April 11, the Duck Dynasty star, 28, revealed she’s been experiencing \u201cwaves of anxiety\u201d since a scary choking situation involving her 8-month-old daughter Kit earlier in the week.<\/p>\n \u201cKit was sitting in her high chair this week, eating a snack while I was finishing up dinner prep, when she began to choke,\u201d Robertson recalled. \u201cWithin seconds, you could tell the severity of the situation. My mom pulled her from the high chair and placed my girl into my arms just as she stopped breathing.<\/p>\n \u201cEveryone went into action and into prayer,\u201d she continued. Mom called 911, I started CPR, and everyone began to pray out loud and move the other kids downstairs.\u201d<\/p>\n Robertson, who shares three children<\/a> \u2014 Honey James<\/a>, 4, Haven Belle<\/a>, 2, and Kit Carroway<\/a>, 8 months \u2014 with husband, Christian Huff<\/a>, said she’d previously watched several videos about CPR as she’s the type of person who wants to be prepared for every possible scenario.<\/p>\n The reality TV star said she \u201cfelt God’s Spirit\u201d guiding her as she put into practice everything that she learned from the clips.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter following protocol for a baby choking and doing CPR, Kit miraculously coughed and began to breathe, just as the paramedics arrived\u2026 it was truly terrifying, but God,\u201d said Robertson.<\/p>\n \u201cI rode in the back of the ambulance with my girl, still afraid, but praising God,\u201d she continued. \u201cChristian drove behind, following us, and told me there was a rainbow over the ambulance the whole way there\ud83d\ude2d\ud83c\udf08.<\/p>\n \u201cWe stayed the night for observation, but she charmed the nurses just a few hours later and is now perfectly healthy, happy, and brightening everyone’s day!\u201d Robertson recalled.<\/p>\n Never miss a story \u2014 sign up for PEOPLE’s free daily newsletter<\/a> to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer\u200b\u200b, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.<\/p>\n Sadie Robertson Huff and her family in October 2025. The WHOA That’s Good Podcast host said she wanted to share her family’s experience to encourage others to prepare for potential emergencies.<\/p>\n The post was shared alongside a video of Kit sleeping peacefully on Robertson’s chest with Elevation Worship and Maverick City Music<\/a>‘s song \u201cMillion Little Miracles\u201d playing over the top.<\/p>\n Huff, 28, commented a red heart emoji underneath the candid Instagram post.<\/p>\n Sadie Robertson with her daughter Kit Robertson previously spoke to PEOPLE<\/a> about having to convince her husband about their youngest daughter’s name.<\/p>\n “I love the meaning of the name Kit. It means pure or to bear Christ and I love that so much,” she said. “I pray over our girls for just their pure hearts and pure minds.
