The firm isn&#8217;t very bullish on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/apple_iphone_17_air-13502.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone 17 Air<\/a>, saying its initial shipments should be in line with those of the device it&#8217;s replacing, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/apple_iphone_16_plus-13316.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone 16 Plus<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The iPhone 17 Air, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/apple_iphone_17_pro-14049.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone 17 Pro<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/apple_iphone_17_pro_max-13964.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone 17 Pro Max<\/a> will all get 12GB of RAM, and they will all start at 256GB of storage, leaving only the &#8216;vanilla&#8217; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/apple_iphone_17-14050.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone 17<\/a> with 8GB of RAM and 128GB base storage.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image\" width=\"1200\" height=\"539\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/1757081111_846_gsmarena_001.jpg\" alt=\"iPhone 17 now projected to outsell the iPhone 16 models, RAM amounts leak\"\/><\/p>\n<p>There have been a bunch of contradictory reports on this lately, so hopefully this one is accurate. The entire series will have a 24 MP selfie camera, and all rear cameras will have 48 MP resolution, while the Pro models will also get the oft-rumored redesign with a big camera island, as well as &#8220;optimized software algorithms to enhance optical zoom and image resolution&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>This report <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/iphone_17_series_to_cost_more_except_the_vanilla_iphone_17-news-68829.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reiterates<\/a> $50-$100 price hikes on all models except the iPhone 17, something which has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/only_one_of_the_iphone_17_devices_is_getting_a_price_hike_new_report_says-news-69316.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">challenged by a different rumor<\/a> a few days ago, so honestly at this point it&#8217;s anyone&#8217;s guess what will happen.
