\u201cPolice have been told the incident occurred at a licensed premises in Melbourne\u2019s CBD,\u201d a Victoria Police spokesman told the outlet.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs the investigation remains ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage.\u201d<\/p>\n
A Spice Market owner also confirmed to the Herald Sun that both Rose and Perry attended the venue 16 years ago and \u201chad way too much to drink\u201d.<\/p>\n
The investigation comes after Rose \u2013 who has since achieved Hollywood fame in roles such as Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, XXX: Return of Xander Cage and Orange is the New Black \u2013 confirmed on Threads she had taken the matter to police.<\/p>\n

The actress said she welcomed the directive from authorities to stay silent on the matter.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s going to look like I am ignoring everything from supportive messages, to other people\u2019s experiences, but I\u2019m not,\u201d she added. \u201cThis is a standard request from the police in many ways, quite the relief. I can start the healing process now. And temporarily (sic) move forward. I love you all so much.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rose first came forward with her claims via a Complex Music social media post about Perry\u2019s reaction to Justin Bieber\u2019s Coachella performance at the weekend.<\/p>\n
\u201cKaty Perry sexual(ly) assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a sh*t what she thinks,\u201d Rose wrote on Threads. <\/p>\n
\u201cI was only in my early 20s. I\u2019m now 40. It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly \u2026 I told the story publicly but changed it to be a \u2018funny little drunk story\u2019 because I didn\u2019t know how else to handle it. Later she agreed to help me get my US visa. So I kept it a secret. But I DID tell yall she wasn\u2019t a good person.\u201d<\/p>\n
In a series of follow-up posts, Rose claimed, \u201cShe saw me \u2018resting\u2019 on my best friend\u2019s lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rose added that she had photographs to corroborate her claims and added that numerous people witnessed the alleged assault.<\/p>\n
Perry has vehemently denied the allegations via her legal team.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous, reckless lies,\u201d a spokesperson said in a statement.<\/p>\n
\u201cMs. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named.\u201d<\/p>\n
