An insider told People magazine: \u201cHer sons were a big part of getting her to rehab. They\u2019ve been clear with her. They just want her to be healthy.\u201d<\/p>\n
Another source had told the outlet on Sunday that the Toxic hitmaker made the decision to enter rehab as a way of \u201cmoving forward\u201d.<\/p>\n
They said: \u201cPeople close to Britney encouraged her to seek treatment.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe understands the seriousness of her situation and felt this was the best step moving forward. She\u2019s now seeking treatment.\u201d<\/p>\n
Another insider told New York Post column PageSix Spears is determined to put her mental health first, adding: \u201cEveryone just wants Britney to be healthy and in a good place and the fact that this was her decision just proves how dedicated she is to her own recovery and getting herself back on solid ground.\u201d<\/p>\n
The source went on to add Spears doesn\u2019t have a set timeframe for her treatment, saying: \u201cShe doesn\u2019t know yet [how long she will be there].<\/p>\n
\u201cThis isn\u2019t for a set 30 or 60-day programme. It will take as long as she needs. She\u2019s not setting a limit on herself.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe just wants to feel better and get herself into a healthier space.\u201d<\/p>\n
Reports have suggested Spears, who is set to appear in court on May 4, has been sober since her arrest and has been making positive changes.<\/p>\n
After her arrest, the singer\u2019s team released a statement insisting she would be taking \u201cthe right steps\u201d and embracing a \u201clong-overdue change\u201d as well as spending time with her two sons.<\/p>\n
The statement read: \u201cBritney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law, and hopefully this can be the first step in a long-overdue change that needs to occur in Britney\u2019s life. Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.<\/p>\n
\u201cHer boys are going to be spending time with her.
