Through a simple in-game interface, players will be able to toggle automation on or off during matches depending on how they want to play. Whether you enjoy commanding fleets in battle but dislike managing your economy, or prefer focusing on strategy while the CPU handles combat execution, the system is built to adapt to different playstyles.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/automation_11.png\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Players will be able to automate several core systems, including economy management, defensive structure placement, army production, and combat control. This flexibility makes it possible to tailor the experience to your own comfort level, whether you&#8217;re a new player learning the ropes or an experienced commander who wants to focus on specific aspects of the battlefield.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Alongside CPU Assist, the update also expands skirmish gameplay with improved CPU opponents and more flexible match setups. Players will be able to create a wide range of scenarios, from classic 1v1 and 2v2 battles to larger matches such as 1v7, free-for-all formats like 3FFA, and multi-team setups including 2v2v2.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the new automation system, the update also brings a wide range of improvements across gameplay, multiplayer, and the overall user experience.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/automation1.png\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>CPU opponents have been refined to behave more reliably, with fixes addressing issues such as units spawning without weapons in singleplayer. Player ownership labeling for CPU-controlled factions has also been improved, making it clearer who controls what during matches.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Skirmish and multiplayer functionality have received several usability upgrades. Lobby map previews have been updated, and players can now click directly on spawn points to change their starting positions. Loadout ordering issues in the multiplayer lobby have been resolved, and synchronization of asteroids in multiplayer matches has been improved for a more consistent experience.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/automation12.png\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>On the visual and interface side, multiple updates have been made to improve clarity and usability. The camera selector has been updated for better consistency with other UI elements, and the CPU Assist interface has been styled and integrated more cleanly into the game. A new build progress bar has been added, and a placement guide grid now appears when placing structures or selecting units, helping players position their assets more precisely. Legacy skirmish maps have also been updated with new preview visuals.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Additional polish includes fixes for UI flickering when opening ship tabs at the start of a match, improvements to score screen tracking, and updates to visual effects such as fighter and bomber trails and player colors.
