(Supplied: The University of Melbourne)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">University of Melbourne lecturer of urban horticulture Dr Jela Ivankovic-Waters says invasive plants outcompete other plants for resources like water, nutrients and light.
