We have ordered enough food for the next two to three days \u2013 we have enough water,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"NzpREUNDumYW\" style=\"display:none\">People were told to stay indoors unless it was essential.<\/p>\n<p class=\"NzpREUNDumYW\" style=\"display:none\">About an hour away in Shenzhen, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nzherald.co.nz\/topic\/china\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.nzherald.co.nz\/topic\/china\/\">Chinese authorities<\/a> were planning to evacuate 400,000 people before Ragasa made landfall.<\/p>\n<p class=\"NzpREUNDumYW\" style=\"display:none\">Caetlind said while that was not the case where she lived, plenty of preventive measures were being taken.<\/p>\n<p class=\"NzpREUNDumYW\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cStructures that could be blown away in the wind have been taken down, things like tents and bikes have been removed from the streets,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p><img  alt=\"China has activated emergency responses and taken various measures ahead of Super Typhoon Ragasa making landfall.
