\n\tTwenty years after making their iconic turns as Miranda, Andy, Emily and Nigel, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci return to the fashionable streets of New York City and the sleek offices of Runway Magazine in 20th Century Studios\u2019\u00a0The Devil Wears Prada 2<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tNew footage for the sequel was revealed Thursday during Disney<\/a>\u2018s CinemaCon<\/a> presentation in Las Vegas. The pic hits theaters May 1.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe eagerly awaited sequel to the 2006 phenomenon reunites the original main cast with director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna, and introduces a new runway of characters including Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak and Conrad Ricamora. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman also reprise their roles as Lily and Irv from the first film.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe original film was based on Lauren Weisberger\u2019s 2003 novel of the same name, following Andy Sachs (Hathaway), a journalism graduate who moved to New York City and lands a demanding job as junior assistant to Streep\u2019s Miranda Priestly, editor-in-chief of Runway, a high-fashion magazine.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe new pic is expected to feature Miranda\u2019s perspective as the fierce editor-in-chief faces the decline of the print industry. There have been a handful of trailers out already, but in the\u00a0final trailer it seems a scandal involving\u00a0Runway\u00a0magazine<\/a>\u00a0is afoot, and Andy has been recruited as a new features editor to help navigate.<\/p>\n

\n\tFootage unveiled today for CinemaCon attendees show Miranda, who hasn\u2019t lost her bite, softly eviscerating her staffers at an ideas meeting for a failed photo shoot. \u201cThe intention was to be dull and listless? \u2026 The models were encouraged to mill around like starving goats in the parking lot of a methadone clinic in New Jersey?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWell, I wouldn\u2019t say that was the intention,\u201d said one staffer.<\/p>\n

\n\tAnd \u201cYou can\u2019t say that!,\u201d says another. Times have changed and Miranda needs some backup navigating the new world. Enter Anne Hathaway.<\/p>\n
