Survivors of the Bondi terror attack have expressed how the ‘heart felt’ meeting with Harry and Meghan was ‘very special’.<\/p>\n

On Friday morning the couple spoke to Jessica Chapnik Khan, who survived the attack while shielding her five-year-old daughter after attending a Hanukkah party. Ms Chapnik Khan said it was an \u201chonour\u201d to meet the couple, adding: \u201cThe greater problem in the world right now is hate.<\/p>\n

\u201cHate is a human problem that we\u2019re facing, a very big problem. So to highlight that, to be able to connect with them on this heart level, I think is very special.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jessica Chapnil Khan, a survivor of the 2025 Bondi Beach terror attack said it was an “honour” to meet the duke and duchess<\/p>\n

Ms Chapnik Khan told PA: \u201cWhen the gunshots started, we started running towards the beach, and it became very clear we weren\u2019t going to make it to the beach and stay alive. So we hid in a picnic area.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t want my daughter to die with gunshots and sirens and wailing mothers \u2013 I just couldn\u2019t reconcile that those would be her last moments.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I spoke really clearly into her ear, and I said: \u2018My darling, go inside yourself where all the love is, and stay there. Stay in your heart, my baby\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd she heard me, and we laid there together in this heart space in the middle of horror for who knows how long, and we survived.\u201d<\/p>\n
