\n\tCassie Lang will return in \u201cAvengers: Doomsday<\/a>.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tKathryn Newton<\/a> announced on Instagram on Friday that she is one of the, let\u2019s face it, half of SAG-AFTRA\u2019s membership who will be in Marvel\u2019s next big superhero extravaganza. The actress, last seen in \u201cAnt-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania\u201d is back to help the MCU gang save the world from Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr. in villain mode). Newton revealed her return in a tongue-in-cheek fashion on social media, unpacking a box that had a director\u2019s chair with her name on the back of it and the film\u2019s logo on front. It\u2019s a sly nod to the way that Marvel announced<\/a> all of the heroes and villains who will be returning for the hotly anticipated sequel. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c[It\u2019s] tiny because Cassie Lang gets tiny,\u201d Newton exclaims. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe likely means that Cassie will be following in the miniature steps of her dad, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd). Truthfully, the ant was already out of the bag, because the trailer that Marvel debuted at CinemaCon<\/a> on Thursday included a shot of Scott\/Ant-Man kissing his daughter on the head. <\/p>\n

\n\tCassie will have plenty of company. Alongside her dad, returning heroes and villains include Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Panther (Letitia Wright), Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart), Magneto (Ian McKellen) and Gambit (Channing Tatum). Joe and Anthony Russo, the brothers behind \u201cAvengers: Endgame\u201d and \u201cAvengers: Infinity War,\u201d return to direct the sequel. <\/p>\n

\n\tNewton most recently appeared in \u201cReady or Not 2: Here I Come,\u201d \u201cGriffin in Summer\u201d and \u201cLisa Frankenstein.\u201d She is the third actress to play Cassie Lang.
