As previously announced, Bridgerton\u2018s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/michelle-mao\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Michelle Mao<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/kyriana-kratter\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kyriana Kratter<\/a>\u00a0will play Yara and Lev, respectively.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tBased on Naughty Dog\u2019s award-winning video game,\u00a0The Last of Us\u00a0takes place 20 years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/pedro-pascal\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pedro Pascal<\/a>), a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie (Bella Ramsey), a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal and heartbreaking journey as they both must traverse the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSeason 2 picked up five years after the events of the first season, Joel and Ellie are drawn into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind. Season 3, which will be an adaption of the second half of the\u00a0Part II\u00a0game,\u00a0shifts the focus to the story of Abby, played by Kaitlyn Dever.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe Last of Us\u00a0was co-created by\u00a0Craig Mazin\u00a0and the game\u2019s Neil Druckmann, with Mazin, who served as executive producer\/co-showrunner alongside Druckmann in Seasons 1 and 2, as the sole showrunner for Season 3.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tLi received critical acclaim for her role as Grace Chow in Sinners.
