Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson got into a physical altercation that reportedly left Tomlinson with a concussion, and resulted in the cancellation of their Netflix docuseries<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The incident took place while the pair were filming on location and was prompted after Malik allegedly made negative comments about Tomlinson\u2019s mom, Johanna Deakin, who died of leukaemia in 2016.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt spiralled into a row then Zayn made a remark about Louis\u2019 mum Johannah,\u201d sources told the Sun<\/a> in a report published Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cLouis was stunned and in shock. As he went to move, Zayn then attacked him,\u201d a source said of the incident. WireImage<\/p>\n

The insider added: \u201cLouis was stunned and in shock. As he went to move, Zayn then attacked him. Zayn punched him straight in the face. Because he was wearing rings it cut Louis\u2019 head.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cHe was pulled away and Louis was taken for medical treatment. He was left with a concussion. This happened outside in front of so many people. It was shocking.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the outlet, neither bandmember has spoken to the other since the incident six months ago. <\/p>\n

Reports of a tense altercation involving Tomlinson and Malik first surfaced in December 2025<\/a> \u2014 just months after the news of their 3-part docuseries was announced \u2014 with sources telling Star Magazine a similar rundown of events.<\/p>\n

The fight was allegedly sparked after Malik made a comment about Tomlinson\u2019s late mother, Johanna Deakin (seen above in 2015), who died of leukaemia. Getty Images<\/p>\n

As a result, Neftlix placed Tomlinson (pictured above sandwiched between Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Malik and Harry Styles) and Malik\u2019s 3-part docuseries \u2014 which was announced last October \u2014 on pause indefinitely. Getty Images<\/p>\n

Reps for Malik and Tomlinson did not immediately respond to Page Six\u2019s request for comment, nor did reps for Netflix. <\/p>\n

The news comes around the same time that Malik revealed he was rushed to the hospital with a mysterious illness, prompting him to cancel several of his upcoming appearances. <\/p>\n

\u201cTo my fans \u2013 Thank you to all of you for your love & support now & always- been a long week and am still unexpectedly recovering,\u201d Malik, 33, wrote via his Instagram Stories on Friday, sharing a photo of himself laying in a hospital bed.<\/p>\n

The news arrives around the same time Malik announced he was hospitalized with a mystery illness on Friday. GC Images<\/p>\n

The \u201cPillowtalk\u201d singer shared a photo of himself laying in a hospital bed as he revealed the news via his Instagram Story. inzayn\/Instagram<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cHeartbroken that I can\u2019t see you all this week, I wouldn\u2019t be in the place I am today without you guys and am so thankful for your understanding.\u201d<\/p>\n

While he did not disclose the reason for his hospitalization, he went on to thank the nurses, doctors, cardiologist and the rest of the hospital staff charged with helping him through his recovery.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you to the incredible hospital staff of Drs, nurses, cardiologist, management, admin and everyone who has helped along the way and continue to,\u201d he added. \u201cYou are all legends! Big big love xx z\u201d<\/p>\n

On the @inzayn Instagram account, which is run by the \u201cPillowtalk\u201d hitmaker\u2019s team, fans were informed of several upcoming scheduled appearances that would now be canceled in the wake of his health scare.<\/p>\n

Among the list of dates were meet and greets at the Looney Tunes Record Store on Long Island, New York; Newbury Comics in Boston; Rough Trade in New York City; and the Sound Garden in Baltimore.<\/p>\n

However, his April 20 pop-up shop at UMusic in New York City is still scheduled to go on as planned. Though, Malik won\u2019t be in attendance for the planned meet and greet. <\/p>\n
