Minimalist travel time<\/p>\n
True to Laurent Ferrier\u2019s style, the new Sport Traveller remains restrained on the dial, despite offering a useful set of indications. Hours and minutes are displayed centrally, with a small seconds sub-dial at six o\u2019clock, much like a conventional time-only watch. The additional functions are discreetly integrated into two apertures: at three o\u2019clock for the date, and at nine o\u2019clock for the second time zone, displayed in a 24-hour format.<\/p>\n

Adjusting the second time zone is intuitive. Two pushers on the left side of the case allow the local hour hand to jump forwards or backwards in one-hour increments, a system reminiscent of the travel time mechanism developed by Patek Philippe in the 1950s.<\/p>\n
The cushion case feels both masculine and elegant on the wrist<\/p>\n The earlier Traveller by Laurent Ferrier features a rounded, pebble-like case, but here it takes on a cushion-shaped form with a more defined, square bezel. It still retains a sense of softness in its overall profile, so the watch feels both masculine and elegant on the wrist. The integrated bracelet follows the same approach, with rounded, gently curved links that reinforce the watch\u2019s fluid, cohesive design.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Because this is a sports watch, the dial is luminescent, something relatively unusual for Laurent Ferrier. Even so, it retains the brand\u2019s signature slender hands and markers. In low light, the fine, elongated lume plots give the impression of arrows in motion, adding a sense of dynamism without compromising the overall restraint.<\/p>\n The assegai-shaped hands pair beautifully with lume<\/p>\n An excellent micro-rotor movement<\/p>\n Inside is the micro-rotor movement that helped define the brand, first introduced in 2012 with the Galet Micro-Rotor. It was originally developed with La Fabrique du Temps for Laurent Ferrier, before being finished to an exceptionally high standard in-house.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Here, the LF275.01 is adapted to suit its more robust, sporty context. The bridges are simplified in their geometry, giving a cleaner and more contemporary look, complemented by horizontal brushing with a muted grey tone. The double direct escapement has also been replaced with a Swiss lever escapement, prioritising stability and reliability under shock.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
