Jigsaw\u2019s winning streak began on October 10 last year at Cranbourne at his 34th start with Bates aboard.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Since then they have since won the G2 McEwen Stakes at The Valley, the Meteorite at Cranbourne, the G1 Railway Stakes at Ellerslie and the VOBIS Gold Sprint and the William Reid Stakes at Caulfield and now The Quokka in Perth.<\/p>\n
Alderson said she didn\u2019t usually yell out in the closing stages but at the 100m mark she did on this occasion.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m lost for words. They just fail me; seven in a row, seven years old, some sort of symmetry,\u201d Alderson said.<\/p>\n
Alderson reflected on her friendship with the late form analyst and great friend Deane Lester after the win.<\/p>\n
She also pointed out the good luck for the other owner in Jigsaw, Marcus Price who joined her in the partnership after she turned down a Hong Kong offer for him.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is the ride of a lifetime. How could you go any better than this,\u201d Alderson said.<\/p>\n
Alderson also praised Griffiths and his team with Rey Magnerio saying they had done a wonderful job.<\/p>\n
Bates said \u201cwhat a horse\u201d and paid tribute to Alderson for her job with him describing it as fantastic.<\/p>\n
Bates paid tribute to Jigsaw\u2019s courage saying he wasn\u2019t quite at his peak at the end of a long campaign.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was all out at the 100m mark. He just kept surging.
