A homicide investigation has been launched after three people died following an incident at an address in Hastings early this morning. <\/p>\n
Detective Inspector Martin James said emergency services were called to an address on Avenue Rd East around 6am following reports several people were seriously injured. <\/p>\n
One person was found dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
Three people were taken to Hastings Hospital, with two in a critical condition and another in a serious condition.<\/p>\n
“Sadly, both critical parties have now also died,” James said. <\/p>\n

A scene examination will take place at the property today.<\/p>\n
“Police appreciate this is a distressing incident that will no doubt be concerning to nearby residents,” he said.<\/p>\n
“I would like to reassure the community that this was an isolated incident, contained to this specific group of people, and there is no risk to the wider public.”<\/p>\n
