Six people required hospitalization for their illness.<\/p>\n<p>Reported symptoms include diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain and chills.<\/p>\n<p>Officials say another 44 people have reported symptoms consistent with salmonella infection after eating at the restaurant but those cases have not yet been confirmed through lab testing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dts.podtrac.com\/redirect.mp3\/traffic.libsyn.com\/outbreaknews\/Salmonella.mp3\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Salmonella and Food safety with Trevor Craig<\/a><\/p>\n<p>No specific food item has been confirmed as the source of the illness so far.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the investigation, Hamilton Public Health ordered the temporary closure of Piper Arms Stoney Creek effective April 13, 2026, to support the ongoing investigation and protect public health.<\/p>\n<p>If you like the reporting on Outbreak News Today, please consider a paid subscription for $5\/month or $30 a year.
