Jeremy Wahome is the newest addition to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mpasho.co.ke\/entertainment\/2026-04-07-kiss-fms-cyd-wambui-celebrates-return-of-dj-afro\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Radio Africa Group family.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>He will make his highly anticipated on-air debut\u00a0this Monday, 20th April.<\/p>\n<p>Jeremy will join Cyd Wambui on the morning show. The station is looking to inject new energy into its breakfast programming. This move comes as Kiss FM continues to cement its place as a leader in urban entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>A Big Stage for New Talent<\/p>\n<p>Radio Africa Group CEO Martin Khafafa officially welcomed Jeremy to the team last week. During the welcome, Khafafa noted that Kiss 100 has just turned 25 years old.<\/p>\n<p>It remains the largest urban English-speaking station in the country. It has hosted legends like Caroline Mutoko. Current stars include Mwalimu Rachel and DJ Xclusive.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Welcome to Radio Africa. You\u2019re coming onto a big stage. I can assure you, you\u2019re coming to a very big stage. We also believe you have what it takes to take that young people&#8217;s station to the next level,&#8221; Khafafa told the new presenter.<\/p>\n<p>The CEO challenged Jeremy to do more than\u00a0just\u00a0entertain.\u00a0He wants the new host to create narratives that build the country. He encouraged Jeremy to foster a spirit of positivity and patriotism among the youth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCreate positive impact, give us over and above the fun and entertainment, create narratives that will build the country, and build the spirit of positivity, patriotism, and excitement of just being Kenyan and Nairobian,\u201d Khafafa added.<\/p>\n<p>From Film to the Airwaves<\/p>\n<p>Jeremy\u2019s journey to the studio began with a solid education. He attended the University of Leeds. Later, he moved to South Africa to study at AFDA. His passion for the medium was sparked after he finished university. He returned to Nairobi and watched established presenters like Shaffie Weru, Neville, and Andy Young.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I actually studied film until I came back to Nairobi and started seeing guys on\u00a0radio\u00a0doing the thing&#8230; I just said, you know what, I&#8217;m not going to waste this voice, I\u2019m going to be right there with them,&#8221; Jeremy recalled during\u00a0interview\u00a0with Mpasho.<\/p>\n<p>Joining the &#8220;Great United&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>For Jeremy, joining Kiss 100 is a childhood dream come true. He grew up listening to Shaffie Weru on the very same show he is about to join. He loves telling stories and connecting with the public. He expressed great excitement about working alongside Cyd Wambui.<\/p>\n<p>What Listeners Can Expect<\/p>\n<p>When asked about the vibe he brings, Jeremy was confident. He promised something &#8220;different&#8221; for the audience. He did not want to give too much away before the first show.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Tune in on\u00a0Monday, come back and tell me how the energy is, I\u2019m telling you it\u2019s going to be different,&#8221; he<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mpasho.co.ke\/news\/2025-02-10-radio-africas-east-fm-celebrates-its-27th-birthday-in-style\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0challenged his new listeners.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Beyond his voice, Jeremy is a man of many interests. He is a passionate Manchester United supporter. He also enjoys music and various sports.
