Despite being one of the most beloved A-listers in Hollywood, Sandra Bullock has stepped away from the spotlight; until now. In 2022, while speaking with Good Morning America<\/a>, she talked about how she\u2019s taking a step away from acting,<\/a> and won\u2019t pick up projects that\u2019ll take her away from her kids. (For those who don\u2019t know, Bullock adopted her two children Louis and Laila.) That, plus the death of her longtime partner Bryan Randall<\/a> from ALS in 2023, made her step away from the limelight, but the stars aligned and she came back for\u00a0Practical Magic 2\u00a0(and we can thank her kids for that)!<\/p>\n

During an April 16 panel at CNBC\u2019s Changemakers Summit via EOnline<\/a>, Bullock revealed she took it on simply because her kids were \u201cout of school\u201d during the production. \u201cI\u2019m not going to sacrifice my time with my kids,\u201d she said. \u201cThey\u2019d be happy if I was gone, I would not.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI do not do my best work if my children are struggling or if they need something and I can\u2019t facilitate it. I\u2019m raising my children, not anybody else.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bullock<\/a>, Nicole Kidman, Stockard Channing, and Dianne Wiest all reprised their roles for it!<\/p>\n
