Certain Social Security beneficiaries in the U.S. are next week due to be sent their latest monthly money, in what is the final payment run on the Social Security Administration\u2019s (SSA) schedule<\/a> for April 2026.<\/p>\n

Who\u2019s receiving Social Security benefits on Wednesday, April 22?<\/p>\n

The SSA is to issue Social Security benefits to recipients born on the 21st to 31st of any month. (NB: If you claim based on someone else\u2019s work record, the agency uses the other person\u2019s birthday.)<\/p>\n

Of the nearly 71 million people who claim Social Security – whether retirement, disability or survivor benefits – the majority are paid on the second, third or fourth Wednesday in each month<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Social Security recipients who started claiming before May 1997 are paid on the third of each month.<\/p>\n

Social Security can be combined with Supplemental Security Income (SSI), a separate program for certain low-income individuals<\/a>. People who claim both benefits get Social Security on the third, with SSI sent out on the first.<\/p>\n

How does Social Security pay monthly benefits?<\/p>\n

Social Security beneficiaries can update their bank-account information using the SSA\u2019s online my Social Security<\/a> tool.<\/p>\n
