Roll Hall of Fame"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Groups Sade and Oasis, which include singers Sade and Liam Gallagher respectively, are among the Brits to be inducted into the prestigious group of musicians this year.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The 2026 honourees were announced by Ryan Seacrest during an episode of American Idol on Tuesday, April 14.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Artists are eligible for inclusion in the hall 25 years after releasing their first commercial recording.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Nigerian-British singer-songwriter Sade, whose full name is Helen Folasade Adu, is the main songwriter and lead vocalist of namesake group Sade, who blend jazz, soul, and R&amp;B.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The band\u2019s hits include the 1984 tracks Your Love Is King, which reached number six on the UK singles chart, and Smooth Operator, which reached number 19.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Their lead singer, who does not make regular media appearances, has family ties to the Stroud area and moved locally in 2005.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  In an interview with The Sunday Times in 2010, she joked of the local newspapers: \u201cThey\u2019re more interested in Eddie the Eagle &#8211; he\u2019s a bigger star in those parts than I am.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  As of April 2026, Sade\u2019s website says she lives in \u2018rural Gloucestershire\u2019 with her partner.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Britpop band Oasis, who hail from Manchester, are known for hits like Don\u2019t Look Back in Anger and Wonderwall.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The group includes brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, who put their differences aside after almost 15 years and reformed the band for their Oasis Live &#8217;25 tour.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The latter has recently bought a property in Coates near Cirencester and previously rented in Selsley.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The 2026 Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place in Los Angeles in November before debuting on Disney+ in December.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  More than 1,200 artists, historians and music industry professionals vote to decide the nominees each year.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Other Brits due to be inducted in 2026 are singer and drummer Phil Collins and heavy metal band Iron Maiden.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A total of six British entries will be honoured this year, including rocker Billy Idol plus Joy Division and New Order.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Also among the honourees in 2026 are Wu-Tang Clan, Queen Latifah, Luther Vandross and Celia Cruz.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame chairman John Sykes said: \u201cInduction into the Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame is music\u2019s highest honour.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cWe look forward to celebrating these remarkable artists at this year\u2019s ceremony &#8211;
