The latest rumors from this weekend focused on Siri’s new design and a potential Home Screen feature.

Other prominent iOS 27 rumored features include Siri’s major overhaul, Liquid Glass design changes, and more.

But will your iPhone support the new update?

Some years Apple drops compatibility for older iPhone models, while at other times it doesn’t. But a new leak indicates there will be a change coming with iOS 27.

Yesterday Weibo leaker Instant Digital posted a full list of what’s claimed to be all iOS 27-supported iPhone models.

Four models that can run iOS 26 are missing from the list:

iPhone 11 Pro Max

iPhone 11 Pro

iPhone 11

iPhone SE (2nd generation)

Per the leaker’s post, iOS 27 will require an iPhone 12 or later. And while iOS 26 supported the second-gen iPhone SE, the new update will only run on iPhone SE 3 or later.

If this proves true, it will make two years in a row that Apple dropped several iPhone models from its major iOS update. Last year the iPhone XS generation missed out.

Many of iOS 27’s tentpole features are expected to involve Apple Intelligence. And those features will require iPhone 15 Pro or later. So even if your iPhone can still run iOS 27, it may or may not support all of the forthcoming features.

Would you be surprised if Apple dropped the iPhone 11 line from supporting iOS 27?
