The public betas come a day after Apple provided the betas to developers. These are the third iOS 26.5 and iPadOS 26.5 betas, but the second \u200cmacOS Tahoe\u200c 26.5 public beta. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1006760\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/macOS-Tahoe-26-Thumb.jpg\"   alt=\"macOS Tahoe 26 Thumb\" width=\"2500\" height=\"1406\"\/><br \/>After signing up for beta testing on Apple&#8217;s beta site, public beta testers can download the updates using the Software Update section of the Settings app on each device.<\/p>\n<p>iOS 26.5, iPadOS 26.5, and \u200cmacOS Tahoe\u200c 26.5 include a new Suggested Places feature for recommending nearby locations to visit, and Apple is also gearing up to start showing ads in Maps. <\/p>\n<p>Apple is testing end-to-end encryption for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/guide\/rcs\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">RCS<\/a> messages between iPhone and Android users again, and there are proximity pairing, notification forwarding, and Live Activities for third-party wearables in the EU.<\/p>\n<p>Popular Stories<a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2026\/03\/25\/new-things-iphone-can-do-ios-26-4\/\" class=\"related\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">16 New Things Your iPhone Can Do in iOS 26.4<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Apple has released iOS 26.4, the fourth major point update for iPhones since iOS 26 was released in September, and there are at least 14 notable changes and improvements worth checking out.
