Sydney Sweeney\u2019s cameo has been cut out of The Devil Wears Prada 2, according to a new report.<\/p>\n

The actor, 28, filmed a scene with Emily Blunt last year that was set to be included at the beginning of the highly anticipated sequel.<\/p>\n

However, Entertainment Weekly <\/a>reported Tuesday that the scene does not appear in the movie at all after a \u201ccreative decision\u201d <\/a>was taken to remove it.<\/p>\n

In the movie, the trio of former Runway magazine colleagues played by Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci reportedly approach Blunt\u2019s character, who now works at Dior, to seek her help to save the fashion magazine<\/a>. When they arrive at her work, they find Blunt\u2019s character helping dress a celebrity client, played by Sweeney as herself in the three-minute scene.<\/p>\n

Neither representatives for Disney nor Sweeney returned The Independent\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n

EW reported that the scene did not work structurally with the final version of the movie\u2019s sequence, but that the film\u2019s crew was grateful that the Euphoria actor participated in the shoot.<\/p>\n

While Sweeney\u2019s cameo did not make the cut, another celebrity expected to make an appearance in the movie is Today show star Jenna Bush Hager \u2014 news that was spoiled on-air by her co-anchor Craig Melvin earlier this month.<\/a><\/p>\n

Pop icon Lady Gaga was also spotted on the sequel\u2019s set last October<\/a>, suggesting she also has a surprise appearance in the movie.<\/p>\n

The Devil Wears Prada 2 comes 20 years after the critically acclaimed original, which follows recent college graduate Andy Sachs (Hathaway), who lands a job as the personal assistant to diabolical fashion editor Miranda Priestly (Streep).<\/p>\n

Newcomers to the franchise include Kenneth Branagh, Lucy Liu and Bridgerton star Simone Ashley.<\/p>\n

The original film is based on the novel of the same name by Lauren Weisberger, who previously worked as Vogue editor Anna Wintour\u2019s assistant.<\/p>\n

Ironically, since the original movie came out, Wintour and Streep have become friends <\/a>\u2014 and even found out that they are related by blood as sixth cousins.<\/a><\/p>\n

While excitement mounts for the sequel, some fans have shared their concerns after a bizarre moment in the trailer showed a meme from the first movie<\/a>, which would not exist in the film\u2019s universe.<\/p>\n

And earlier this month, fans called out an editing error in the trailer <\/a>that showed an onlooker recording Hathaway on set with their phone in the background of a scene.<\/p>\n
