Death in Paradise star Ben Miller has responded to rumours that he could be one of the contestants taking part in the second season of The Celebrity Traitors.<\/p>\n

After the huge success of last year’s first celebrity season, everyone wants to know who the BBC has lined up for this year’s cast<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The DI Richard Poole actor is one of the names that has been mentioned a few times, so when he appeared on Good Morning Britain this week, he was asked whether he’s doing it.<\/p>\n

While Miller said that he “would love to do it”, he stated: “I haven’t been invited.”<\/p>\n

He joked with host Richard Arnold that it is exactly the kind of thing that someone who was signed up to the show would say.<\/p>\n

The actor added that if he did the show, then he’d be a Faithful, as he “[doesn’t] know how anyone” could be a Traitor.<\/p>\n

Could that be another bluff, though, and he’s gunning to don the cloak and commit secret murders?<\/p>\n

Among the many, many names in the mix<\/a> are actors Hugh Bonneville, Courteney Cox, and Richard E Grant, national treasures Liam Gallagher and Danny Dyer, X Factor stars turned presenters Rylan Clark and JB Gill, and Alan Carr’s best mate Amanda Holden.<\/p>\n

Pretty much the entire cast of Last One Laughing UK seasons 1 and 2 has also been rumoured, including Bob Mortimer, who was heavily rumoured for Celebrity Traitors season 1.<\/p>\n

Miller isn’t the only celeb to deny their involvement, as Alison Hammond said that she’s doing The Great British Bake Off at the same time<\/a>, which seems plausible.<\/p>\n

Former Doctor Who lead Peter Capaldi actually revealed that he had been approached for the show<\/a>, but turned it down because it could give him “a level of exposure that I don\u2019t really want”.<\/p>\n

The Celebrity Traitors season 2 is expected to air later this year on BBC One and stream on iPlayer.<\/p>\n
