A meteorite about the size of your fist goes on display today at the T\u016bhura Otago Museum.<\/p>\n
The rock – which is millions of years old\u00a0– is one of just 10 discovered in Aotearoa New Zealand, and the first fresh discovery in over 20 years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Every Thursday the lucky Link three winner gets a great album and this week we’re stoked to be able to give away the winner of the 2026 Taite Music Prize NZ Classic Record.<\/p>\n
The Taite Music Awards are happening next week, and this award recognises albums released at least 20 years ago on an independent label that have had a lasting impact, winners are selected by a specialist panel rather than public voting, and this year’s winner is The Mint Chicks’ 2006 album, Crazy? Yes! Dumb? No!<\/p>\n
\u00a0Formed in T\u0101maki Makaurau by brothers Kody and Ruban Nielson, with drummer Paul Roper and bassist Michael Logie, The Mint Chicks quickly garnered a reputation for chaotic energy, inventive songwriting, and unforgettable live shows.<\/p>\n
The album is being re-pressed in light of the award, so you might win today, but the record will be sent to in late May.\u00a0<\/p>\n
