\n\tNicole Kidman<\/a>\u2019s Lace enters the ring in the latest episode of Margo\u2019s Got Money Troubles, and her character is a new addition to the story in TV form versus Rufi Thorpe\u2019s novel, on which the show is based.<\/p>\n \n\tLace was part of the duo Leather & Lace, and she catches Jinx (Nick Offerman) at a wrestling Fan Expo he attends with Margo (Elle Fanning) to show her what his past life looked like. The two go way back, seen when Jinx watches an old tape of him wrestling both Leather & Lace.<\/p>\n \n\tShowrunner David E. Kelley<\/a> joked that they were \u201ctrying to get poor Nicole some work wherever we can help her out and boost her career.\u201d He also wasn\u2019t sure if Kidman would be game for the hybrid character.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI joked before, but it was only half a joke. I thought, \u2018Okay, we\u2019re going to throw this character at her, a lawyer slash wrestler, and Nicole is going to say, \u2018Now you\u2019ve taken it too far. I\u2019m not going to do that.\u2019 But she embraced it,\u201d Kelley told Deadline. \u201cShe [said], \u2018Okay. Can I jump in the ring and actually wrestle?\u2019 And she was fantastic in it. She was believable in the ring, and she was believable as a lawyer. So there\u2019s a reason she gets all those job opportunities. She\u2019s pretty good at her craft.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThough Leather is now dead to Lace, who has since graduated from law school following the end of her wrestling career, she and Jinx put on a show in the ring for the fans at the wrestling convention, choreographing moves that look real. Unfortunately, Lace delivers a kick that knocks Jinx on his back, inflaming an old injury.<\/p>\n
