Vivek Agnihotri opened his note with a line that captured the weight of grief that time alone cannot erase. He wrote, “A year has passed. But some days don’t move forward. They stay where they broke.”He went on to recall individual stories that brought the scale of loss into sharp, human focus. “A young naval officer, six days into his marriage\u2026 a honeymoon that was meant to be the beginning of a life,” he wrote, evoking dreams that were cut short without warning. He also remembered “a man who came with faith in his heart\u2026 A young man from Kanpur, who left home for a few days and never returned.”Agnihotri did not shy away from putting numbers to the grief. He further added, “26 lives lost. 26 widows. 26 families shattered,” while stressing that the true damage runs far deeper than any statistic can capture.Agnihotri’s note carried a clear and firm message against normalizing such violence. “Terrorism<\/a> does not just kill people.
