On Wednesday, one lucky winner took home the $5 million Powerball jackpot after buying their ticket at Whitcoulls in Glenfield. Their prize is made up of $5m from Powerball First Division and $500,000 from Lotto First Division.<\/p>\n

This made them this year\u2019s 10th Powerball multi-millionaire, only a week after a New Plymouth Lotto player took home $14.3m.<\/p>\n

Recent winners<\/p>\n

A Lotto player from Port Chalmers won Lotto First Division in the April 18 draw, taking home $1m.<\/p>\n

They bought their ticket at Windsor On the Spot Express at Port Chalmers.<\/p>\n

A Powerball First Division winner said she was left \u201cnumb\u201d after she won a staggering $14.3 million<\/a> on April 15.<\/p>\n

What to do if you win<\/p>\n

Ticket holders can see immediately if they have won<\/a> if they purchased a ticket through MyLotto. Prizes of $1000 or less are automatically credited to the account.<\/p>\n

For prizes exceeding $1000, winners must complete an online prize claim form.<\/p>\n

Winners with physical tickets must still visit a Lotto retailer to claim their prize.<\/p>\n

For the Powerball jackpot to be claimed, a ticket holder must get all six Lotto numbers correct as well as the added Powerball number.<\/p>\n
