\u2022 Ciza won Artist of the Year and Best Male Artist at the Metro FM Music Awards held at the Durban International Convention Centre.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Veteran broadcaster Wilson B Nkosi and maskandi star Bheki Ngcobo received special honours for their long service and lifetime achievements in music.<\/p>\n
Isaka hitmaker Ciza was the star of the night at the Metro FM Music Awards 2026 in Durban.<\/p>\n
The awards took place on Saturday at the Durban International Convention Centre. The event was broadcast on SABC 1 and streamed online from 20:00.<\/p>\n
Ciza walked away with two of the biggest awards. He won Artist of the Year and Best Male Artist, cementing his place as one of the country\u2019s top performers.<\/p>\n
The ceremony was hosted by Lerato Kganyago and Lawrence Maleka. It featured performances from well known artists including Mafikizolo, Nomfundo Hlophe, Shandesh and Nkosazana.<\/p>\n
Other winners also made their mark on the night.<\/p>\n
Music duo Thukuthela and Jazzworld had a strong showing. They took home Best Produced Album, Best Dance and Best Duo or Group.<\/p>\n
Shandesh won Best Female Artist, while Kharishma was named Best New Artist.<\/p>\n
The event also honoured legends in the industry.<\/p>\n
Veteran broadcaster Wilson B Nkosi received the Long Service Award for his years in radio and music.<\/p>\n
Maskandi artist Bheki \u201cIhashi Elimhlophe\u201d Ngcobo was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to the genre.<\/p>\n
The awards celebrated both rising stars and long standing icons, bringing together some of the biggest names in South African music for one night.<\/p>\n
