\n\tKaty Perry<\/a> is looking back on this past year with love. In a lengthy post on Instagram<\/a>, the pop star reflected on the \u201cincredible impact\u201d she\u2019s felt since releasing her album 143, taking stock of all the twists and turns she\u2019s faced in the process.<\/p>\n

\n\tSharing several photos and videos of herself and her team meeting fans, executing the rollout of 143 and traveling around the world on her Lifetimes Tour, Perry began by writing that \u2014 while she\u2019s usually \u201cnot one for anniversary posts\u201d \u2014 she thought it \u201cwould be negligent of me to not acknowledge the incredible impact this last year has had on me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c1 year ago, 143 came out and I took the weekend to reflect,\u201d she continued. \u201cRecords are snapshots of an artist trying to tell their story of where they are now or have been, and hope someone will hear themselves in some of the messages. 143 to me was literally me saying I love you to my fans. Looking back now, I realize it has been all about reconnecting to my fans through these songs and through this wonderful tour that has given me the opportunity to see so many of you again and for the first time.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tPerry went on to say that while she and her fans have \u201cbeen through a rollercoaster\u201d over the past year, she\u2019s \u201cproud\u201d of how her community has stuck together through it all. \u201cWe celebrate the wins and reflect on the losses,\u201d she wrote. \u201cAll of it is valuable. Let\u2019s hope we get to evolve together for years to come and at the end of it all be proud and at peace with how we tried our best in this imperfect world.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s undeniable that the former American Idol judge has been through a lot in the last 12 months. For starters, the release of 143 in September 2024 was clouded with controversy as many critics took issue with Dr. Luke\u2019s involvement in the album given the accusations of sexual violence against him, which he denies. On an episode of Call Her Daddy last year, Perry explained <\/a>that she wanted to work with the producer no matter what because \u201cI wrote these songs from my experience of my whole life going through this metamorphosis, and he was one of the people to help facilitate all that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAside from music, Perry also experienced a breakup<\/a> from longtime partner Orlando Bloom in June, though the couple still seems to be friendly as they coparent their daughter, Daisy Dove. A couple of months before that, the musician went to space<\/a> on Blue Origin\u2019s first-ever all-woman flight crew \u2014 but that venture was also shrouded in controversy<\/a>, with some critics deeming it a waste of resources.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn a more introspective note in her Instagram post, however, the singer shared that \u2014 throughout all those ups and downs \u2014 she\u2019s been asking herself whether she truly loves herself on an everyday basis. \u201cToday\u2019s answer is yes,\u201d she revealed. \u201cI am proud of where and how I have landed in this moment. Proud of myself, proud of my fans and proud that I keep on swinging \u2026 Through my years in the spotlight, I have been beloved, tested and tried. That\u2019s the journey.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the comments, Perry added, \u201cWhatever comes next, I\u2019m letting it unfold naturally. No forcing, no controlling \u2013 just trusting the angels, the fans, and the music to guide me where I\u2019m meant to go. Please know this: my love for you is unconditional, and I couldn\u2019t do any of this without you.\u201d <\/p>\n
