EastEnders\u2019 Max Branning and Cindy Beale\u2019s romance<\/a> seems to be going from strength to strength next week, when the pair decide to move in together. But with feelings of jealousy rising between Max and Linda, is the Square\u2019s serial womaniser as committed to his new love as he\u2019s making out?<\/p>\n

“Cindy and Max enjoy a joint birthday bash, looking every inch the loving couple,” begins our Walford insider. “It\u2019s during the party that Max suggests to Cindy that they move in together.<\/p>\n

“However, when Cindy happily accepts, she doesn\u2019t realise that Max\u2019s offer is driven by jealousy, after discovering that Linda has slept with someone else\u2026”<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been clear since his return to the Square that Max has been keen on reuniting with Linda<\/a>, the discovery that they share a child together in little Annie further cementing his feelings. And while Linda did waver for a time, she eventually decided that she and Max were better off as co-parents than partners.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Max and Cindy shared an instant chemistry, sleeping together the very first night they met. The pair\u2019s troubled family history saw them keep their distance, though they recently rekindled their passion, and after a shocking road accident drew them closer<\/a>, they went public with their romance.<\/p>\n

However, it\u2019s clear that Linda might be regretting her decision to \u2018friend zone\u2019 Max<\/a> as she looks jealously on at the couple\u2019s closeness next week. Her mood isn\u2019t improved when a plan to help mend her rift with Johnny falls flat. <\/p>\n

Tensions are at fever pitch when Max and Cindy\u2019s party arrive. Max discovers that Linda slept with someone the previous night and it\u2019s clear that he\u2019s rattled. So, he makes a typically Max Branning spur-of-the-moment decision by asking Cindy to move in with him!<\/p>\n

“Max is fond of Cindy, and many would say the pair certainly deserve each other,” says our spy. “But while the schemers are well matched, Max does have a history of thinking the grass is always greener when it comes to the woman in his life.<\/p>\n

“He was married to his first wife Rachel and ran off with Tanya \u2013 but after he married her, he ended up lusting after Stacey Slater. Later he was with Vanessa Gold but wound up back with Tanya on the sly! So, is Max falling back into the same old trap of his own making with Cindy and Linda?”<\/p>\n

EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.<\/p>\n
