{"id":401104,"date":"2026-04-28T06:21:11","date_gmt":"2026-04-28T06:21:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/401104\/"},"modified":"2026-04-28T06:21:11","modified_gmt":"2026-04-28T06:21:11","slug":"warriors-chairman-selling-his-multimillion-dollar-waterfront-home-all-things-property-under-oneroof","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/401104\/","title":{"rendered":"Warriors chairman selling his multimillion-dollar waterfront home, All things property, under OneRoof"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8211; Warriors chairman Ken Reinsfield and his wife Danya are selling their Auckland home.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; They bought the waterfront home in June 2024 to be closer to family.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The couple purchased two nearby homes for their family, aiming to create a compound.<\/p>\n<p>Warriors chairman Ken Reinsfield and his wife Danya are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oneroof.co.nz\/property\/auckland\/northcote-point\/36-queen-street\/RJzNV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">selling their Auckland home<\/a> \u2013 less than two years after paying $3.25 million at auction for it.<\/p>\n<p>The couple had flown in from Sydney to buy the five-bedroom waterfront spread in June 2024, after it was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oneroof.co.nz\/news\/ex-chorus-chief-heads-to-australia-with-3-45m-after-selling-auckland-home-45703\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">listed for sale by the outgoing CEO of Chorus<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They told OneRoof they were selling 36 Queen Street, Northcote Point, to move closer to family. They have bought two homes nearby and plan to create a multi-generational compound.<\/p>\n<p>Danya said that Ken was appointed chairman of the Warriors while they were living in Sydney. Photo \/ Supplied<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKen\u2019s daughter, my stepdaughter, Sacha, had her first child, and it just felt like Sydney was too far away,\u201d Danya told OneRoof. \u201cSo we made the decision to move back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The couple had previously lived in Ponsonby and Herne Bay while in New Zealand, but Sacha was living in Birkenhead and wanted them close. \u201cWe were able to find this absolute hidden gem at 36 Queen Street, and we\u2019ve absolutely loved it here. We anticipated that this would be the home where we raised our grandchildren and made beautiful memories.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, the real estate market had different ideas, and when two neighbouring homes came up for sale, the couple pounced. \u201cWe had a unique opportunity to secure [the two homes]. We have always talked as a family about wanting to have a family compound, and this has just made it a reality,\u201d  Danya said. \u201cThe plan is that the family will live in one, and Ken and I will renovate and live in the other.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p>Danya told OneRoof that both she and Ken loved Northcote Point. \u201cEverything. It\u2019s attracting a lot of younger families, and it\u2019s bringing a lot more energy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019ve got that Ponsonby feel in this little enclave. And everything\u2019s so close to the water. We just love it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Danya said it takes the couple just seven minutes to get to the city. She works from home four days a week, and Ken tends to travel to the Warriors\u2019 office at Mt Smart Stadium on his Triumph Bonneville motorcycle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re both keen motorcyclists, so if you\u2019ve got a motorbike, it\u2019s not an issue. He\u2019s out there multiple times in a week,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>The couple are, of course, Warriors fans and watch all the games. \u201cWin or lose, it\u2019s always going to be an exciting game, watching the Wahs. I\u2019m very excited for this season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>36 Queen Street has an RV of $3.625m and is for sale with Bayleys agents Nic, Anna and Sue  Mayhew. Direct garden access to the harbour invites kayaking, paddleboarding, or refreshing swims, while cyclone-resistant soil anchors installed in 2022 provide confidence and peace of mind. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cInside, original character features have been thoughtfully preserved and enhanced by contemporary design.
