In the half-decade-plus since Billboard introduced two worldwide rosters, the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S., one musical act has emerged as the most successful when it comes to topping the competitive rosters. BTS<\/a> claims the most leaders, and the South Korean septet \u2013 which recently returned after a multi-year hiatus with its comeback album Arirang, led by the smash \u201cSwim\u201d \u2013 added to its historic sum with its latest single. <\/p>\n \u201cSwim\u201d helped BTS push further ahead of Taylor Swift, who claims the second-most winners with half a dozen No. 1s. Now, the Grammy-nominated boy band has tied its own record on the Billboard Global 200 in terms of time spent in the penthouse.<\/p>\n BTS\u2019s \u201cSwim\u201d Holds at No. 1 for a Fourth Week<\/p>\n \u201cSwim\u201d<\/a> has lived on the Billboard Global 200<\/a> for four weeks, and it has yet to sit in any spot that is not No. 1. The tune debuted atop the ranking in early April, and so far, despite tough competition, it has yet to cede control over the roster. <\/p>\n Last frame, BTS blocked Dominic Fike\u2019s \u201cBabydoll\u201d from becoming his first winner. This time around, fellow K-pop favorite Jennie \u2013 known largely for her work as one-quarter of the girl group Blackpink \u2013 climbs to No. 2 with \u201cDracula\u201d alongside her collaboration partner Tame Impala.<\/p>\n BTS\u2019s \u201cSwim\u201d Matches \u201cDynamite\u201d<\/p>\n Now that \u201cSwim\u201d has ruled the Billboard Global 200 for four weeks, it ties as the longest-running No. 1 by BTS. It shares that honor with \u201cDynamite,\u201d which debuted on the list in September 2020 and rose to the peak position only a few weeks later.<\/p>\n BTS\u2019s \u201cButter\u201d Also Managed Multiple Turns at No. 1<\/p>\n BTS counts eight No. 1s in its discography, and of that sum, only three have dominated for more than one frame. U.S. focuses entirely on what the rest of the world is listening to and not what Americans are buying and streaming, two singles by the South Korean seven-member group have spent more time in the highest rung than \u201cSwim,\u201d at least as of this period. <\/p>\n
