Image: AASA<\/p>\n<p>Do not adjust your screen, that really is a dirt Sprintcar cutting laps of Sydney Motorsport Park.<\/p>\n<p>Behind the wheel is Ashton Mineeff, younger brother of GT4 driver Lachlan, making his first ever laps of a paved circuit.<\/p>\n<p>In a post accompanying the video, Ashton Mineeff Racing thanked the AASA and Marcos Ambrose for the invite to the event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s fantastic to see collaboration between dirt and road racing, for the betterment of motorsport as a whole!\u201d read the post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs you can see, it\u2019s unique seeing a dirt Sprintcar run on a pavement circuit with left (mainly) and right hand turns.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had the tallest gear ratio we would use on a dirt track installed, which ran out of puff on the main straight, which is to be expected in a single speed car.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever the car was extremely fast in the corners, even for Ashton\u2019s first time driving on a full size pavement circuit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe smoke at the end of the clip is due to the oil breather setup not optimal for right hand turning loads which isn\u2019t an issue on the dirt.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/t.cfjump.com\/92797\/b\/250635\" rel=\"nofollow sponsored noopener\" data-bid=\"1\" data-no-instant=\"1\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none; vertical-align: middle;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/250635.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><br \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Ashton Mineeff took his Sprintcar for laps at Sydney Motorsport Park during the AASA Legends Nationals.
