The episode of Anupamaa on the 5th of September begins with the spotlight turning to Manohar. Kunal encourages him to speak. Clearly moved, Manohar struggles to find the right words. With emotion in his voice, he shares how returning to the stage stirs up a flood of feelings. Anupama thanks him warmly for being there. Gradually, Manohar opens up, speaking about the significance of dance in his life. He expresses gratitude to Anupama, crediting her for his return and calling her not just a daughter, but also a guide and a companion. With heartfelt blessings, he urges Anupama and Rahi to dance not for applause or prizes, but for the joy and fulfilment it brings.

On the other hand, tension brews as Leela makes fun of Vasundhara’s appearance, triggering a heated exchange. Ketan, ever the instigator, jokingly suggests they take their fight to the stage for better viewership. Vasundhara shuts him down firmly, saying that theatrics are better left to the Shahs and Joshis; not the Kotharis. Her remark stings Leela, deepening the rift.

Backstage, all is not well in Anupama’s team. Rahi tries to maintain order, requesting everyone to keep their voices down, but the atmosphere is already charged. Pakhi and Preet get into a disagreement, and things escalate when Mahi hides the team’s props. Preet confronts her, leading to more chaos until Bharti steps in and finds the missing items, confirming Preet was telling the truth all along.

Raahi’s team sees score deduction:

Later, on stage, the host questions whether Raahi’s close bond with Anupama might affect her focus. Raahi firmly denies it, while Anupama steps in, cautioning the host against exploiting personal ties for drama. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, the crew records the team’s backstage arguments. Ketan and Kunal secretly plan to use the footage in the finale for higher ratings.

As the competition progresses, the judges reveal the performance themes. Anupama’s team is given “Rishton Ka Dard,” while Rahi is assigned the theme of a mother-daughter relationship. Anupama opens the round with an emotionally driven performance rooted in her own experiences. Although the judges praise her storytelling, a misstep by Preet results in a score deduction. Rahi criticises Preet, saying her mistake was born from overconfidence.
