Zara Larsson<\/a> is all about keeping her promises.<\/p>\n This past weekend, the 28-year-old \u201cMidnight Sun\u201d singer performed at Yale University\u2019s Spring Fling \u201926 Concert and later took to TikTok<\/a> to explain why she\u2019s still performing at colleges amid her recent wave of major success<\/p>\n \u201cYeah, I went to Yale,\u201d Zara joked in the video while wearing a Yale zip-up hoddie. \u201cI went there to sing once, so technically I did go to Yale, yes.\u201d<\/p>\n She went on to say that she\u2019s \u201con some kind of college show tour\u201d at the moment, explaining, \u201cI signed that s\u2013t a long time ago because I needed to pay for my real tour, because it\u2019s so expensive to tour.\u201d<\/p>\n @zaralarsson<\/a> <\/p>\n Is it giving law or media? <\/p>\n ? original sound \u2013 Zara Larsson<\/a> <\/p>\n Zara wrapped the initial North American leg of her Midnight Sun Tour earlier this month and she\u2019s now performing at various colleges across the country before a string of global festival performances through August. She\u2019ll then perform two shows at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles in September before bringing her tour to Australia and New Zealand for shows through October.<\/p>\n Since the tour was announced last year, Zara has experienced a new wave of major success with fans and many of the venues throughout the tour had to be upgrade due to demand.<\/p>\n Despite the new success, Zara has followed through with performing at colleges.<\/p>\n \u201cOnce I\u2019ve signed that contract, I\u2019m not pulling out. I don\u2019t do that. I don\u2019t cancel shows,\u201d she said before joking, \u201cSome people pay to go to college, I get paid to go to college.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI wish I went to college. Part of me wishes I went to college because I didn\u2019t even finish high school,\u201d Zara added. \u201cI hate saying that because it doesn\u2019t match my brain. Like, I\u2019m a smart girl. But someone has to entertain the educated, and that\u2019s my job. And I take that seriously. But it\u2019s been really fun. It\u2019s actually been so fun, and everyone\u2019s having a good time. It seems like everyone is excited.\u201d<\/p>\n After her performance at Yale, the university provided her with merchandise that she plans on wearing a lot in the future.<\/p>\n \u201cSo if you see me in this, mind your business please,\u201d Zara said. \u201cOr just be like, \u2018Wow, that\u2019s so amazing. What year did you graduate?\u2019 And I\u2019ll be like, \u2018I\u2019ll graduate in two years.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Zara will be releasing Midnight Sun: Girls Trip, the deluxe version of her latest album, on Friday, May 1.
