May will ring in some big finales on Disney+, with season-ending episodes for both Daredevil: Born Again and Star Wars: Maul Shadow Lord. It’s not all finales, though. The streamer will also premiere the new MCU special, The Punisher: One Last Kill, as well as a fortune-telling reality series and a new version of Sofia the First. <\/p>\n

Perfect Crown, starring IU and Byeon Woo-seok, will continue to stream new episodes every Friday and Saturday. The streaming service recently revealed<\/a> that the series literally took the crown as the biggest K-drama premiere on Disney+ to date. <\/p>\n Other Hulu Originals coming to the service include new seasons of The Boss and Impuros. Travis Japan Summer Vacation!! in the USA, a reality series starring the titular boy band Travis Japan, will premiere with three episodes and continue to release one new episode every Friday. <\/p>\n Outside of premieres, Disney+ will be picking up the family-centric movie We Bought a Zoo.<\/p>\n May 2 Perfect Crown (Hulu Original) \u2013 New EpisodeMay 4 American Idol Season 9 (ABC) \u2013 Streaming live at 8pm ETStar Wars: Maul \u2013 Shadow Lord \u2013 Two-Episode Season Finale <\/p>\n While Disney+ will be livestreaming a new episode of American Idol, the more obvious event of the day is May the Fourth, otherwise known as Star Wars Day. Disney+ will be celebrating with the final two episodes of Star Wars: Maul \u2013 Shadow Lord<\/a>, a new animated series we\u2019ve been loving so far. <\/p>\n We reviewed the first eight episodes<\/a> ahead of release, with writer Jesse Schedeen highlighting the “rock-solid voice cast and the incredible score by Kiner Music” in particular. <\/p>\n May 5 Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 \u2013 Season Finale at 6pm PT<\/p>\n Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will also premiere its final episode<\/a> right after the end of Star Wars: Maul. While viewership seems to have tapered off<\/a> since the first season, we’re still enjoying the MCU reboot. Our reviewer, Eric Goldman, put it in simple terms<\/a> that “it sure feels good to once more see Matt Murdock put on that costume and go toe to toe with a bunch of guys who are very much asking for trouble.”<\/p>\n The new season happens to bring back a host of fan-favorite characters<\/a>, though there’s no telling where they’ll end up after this finale. <\/p>\n May 6 Gold Land (Hulu Original) \u2013 New Episodes<\/p>\n The K-drama Gold Land premiered on Disney+ back in April and will continue to stream new episodes every Wednesday. <\/p>\n May 8 Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir Chibi: Shorts Season 1 \u2013 PremierePlaydate with Winnie the Pooh: Shorts Season 3 \u2013 New EpisodesPerfect Crown (Hulu Original) \u2013 New EpisodeTravis Japan Summer Vacation!! in the USA (Hulu Original) \u2013 New Episode<\/p>\n Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir is getting a new chibi-themed series of shorts premiering exclusively on Disney+. The Punisher has had a pretty massive role<\/a> in Daredevil: Born Again, but it still remains to be seen<\/a> whether he’ll appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. <\/p>\n Disney+ will also be premiering a new season of Nat Geo\u2019s Italy-focused travel series hosted by Stanley Tucci. <\/p>\n May 13 Battle of Fates Season 1 (Hulu Original) \u2013 PremiereGold Land (Hulu Original) \u2013 New EpisodesHey A.J.! \u2013 New Episodes<\/p>\n Another pull from the Hulu side, Disney+ will be streaming Battle of Fates, a new Korean competition series that pits fortune tellers, shamans, and tarot readers against one another. First up is the Savannah Bananas vs the Texas Tailgaters. <\/p>\n May 26 Sofia the First: Royal Magic \u2013 Premiere<\/p>\n Sofia the First is growing up and getting a sequel series. The new TV show will follow Sofia making new friends and mastering her powers at the Charmswell School for Royal Magic. <\/p>\n May 27 Gold Land (Hulu Original) \u2013 New EpisodesMay 29 Banana Ball: Party Animals vs. Coconuts \u2013 7pm ETRoboGobo (Season 2) \u2013 New EpisodesTravis Japan Summer Vacation!! in the USA (Hulu Original) \u2013 New Episode<\/p>\n The second Banana Ball game Disney+ will stream this month pits the Party Animals against the Loco Beach Coconuts. The streamer will also be getting new episodes from RoboGobo\u2019s second season. <\/p>\n The State of Disney+ Plans <\/p>\n Standalone Disney+ plans<\/a> currently start at $11.99. While the service offered a bundle deal in March, we haven\u2019t seen any discounts on the ad-free plan since prices were hiked<\/a> last October. Yep, that includes Black Friday deals, which were once again limited to the ad-supported bundle with Hulu<\/a>. <\/p>\n Speaking of, the service is all about the bundles<\/a> now, with plans including Hulu, HBO Max, and ESPN Unlimited.
