Porirua police say they are seeking information on a group of illegal dirt bike riders who have been terrifying livestock and damaging newly planted native trees.<\/p>\n
Police said the group of five males regularly rode dirt bikes from Waitangirua or Cannons Creek, across iwi land, into Belmont Park and then Belmont Farm.<\/p>\n
“Their behaviour on the bikes is endangering the public, including families using the park, road users and workers in the park,” police said.<\/p>\n
“They are also terrifying livestock, including sheep that are currently lambing.”<\/p>\n

Police said the group had also been responsible for causing damage to multiple fences and newly planted native trees.<\/p>\n
“If you witness these activities or have information that can assist Police, please call 111 if it is happening now, or make a report via 105 if it is after the fact.”<\/p>\n
