{"id":417521,"date":"2026-05-08T06:12:18","date_gmt":"2026-05-08T06:12:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/417521\/"},"modified":"2026-05-08T06:12:18","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T06:12:18","slug":"lion-trial-across-london-celebrate-summer-of-football","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/417521\/","title":{"rendered":"Lion trial across London celebrate summer of football"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Seventeen lion sculptures are to be installed across central London this summer to celebrate a season of international football.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">London Heritage Quarter has announced the upcoming free public art trail named Pride in the Quarter, which runs from June to August.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The sculptures are inspired by the iconic &#8220;three lions&#8221; emblem associated with the England national team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The trail will stretch across 0.75 sq miles (1.95 sq km), from Trafalgar Square to St James&#8217;s Park and Victoria Tower Gardens.
