Ghanaian musician <\/a><\/a>Wendy Shay<\/a> has stated that winning Artiste of the Year at the 27th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) would be proof that hard work truly pays off.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the red carpet on May 9, 2026, she emphasised that her journey over the past year shows she deserves the honour.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot giving up. It will be a testament of consistency, hard work and self-belief. It will be an inspiration to a lot of people, not just because I am a woman or because it will empower women but also to show everyone that if you believe in yourself and put your mind to something, you can achieve it. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe numbers are there, the hard work is there, the songs are there, everything is just there. So, it will be a great honour to be seen as an epitome of inspiration, hard work and belief, \u201cshe said. <\/p>\n
