From revealing how her pregnancy became the inspiration behind the outfit to sharing how nervous she initially was about attending the global fashion event, the actress candidly spoke about the experience.During the conversation, Raj Shamani mentioned reports claiming that Kiara\u2019s Met Gala outfit generated nearly $15 million worth of organic media value online.Reacting to the reports, the actress admitted she was surprised by the scale of attention the look received. Kiara further revealed that celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania and designer Gaurav Gupta were always her first choices for the event.\u201cThe day I told Anaita that I was going to the Met Gala and asked if she would style me, she immediately said, \u2018Let\u2019s get Gaurav to do something.\u2019 We never had a second thought after that,\u201d the actress said.<\/p>\n

Because how often do you go to the Met Gala while pregnant?\u201d she said.The actress shared that she attended the event during the final phase (just before her seventh month) in which she was medically allowed to travel.\u201cI was wondering if I should even go because it was such a long journey and I was pregnant. But my best friend told me that if my baby later found out I had the chance to attend the Met Gala and didn\u2019t go, the baby would fight with me over it,\u201d she recalled. <\/p>\n

Umbilical cord-inspired concept and metallic breastplate<\/p>\n

Speaking about the now-viral outfit, Kiara revealed that Gaurav Gupta conceptualised the design around an umbilical cord motif and a heart-shaped structure.\u201cHe had the idea of creating this whole umbilical cord concept and turning it into a heart,\u201d she explained.The actress also shared that she personally loves the designer\u2019s signature metallic breastplates and requested him to incorporate that aesthetic into the final look.\u201cIt felt extremely personal to me apart from being on such an iconic platform,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

\u2018Everyone inside the Met Gala is equal\u2019<\/p>\n

Kiara further described the Met Gala as one of the most organised and eye-opening experiences of her life.\u201cOnce you\u2019re inside, everyone is equal.
