Zara Larsson suffered an awkward wardrobe malfunction while performing on the US Today show this week – and carried on as though nothing had happened. <\/p>\n
The Swedish pop star, 28, was performing for the breakfast program\u2019s Summer Concert Series in New York City when one of her sky-high stilettos snapped while she was on stage. <\/p>\n
The Lush Life songbird welcomed Today co-host Sheinelle Jones to the stage to perform her hit track when she shared the mishap with the audience. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe gotta dance extra hard because I lost my heel!\u201d she declared. <\/p>\n

The heel from her sparkly footwear came off at some point when the star was rocking out to other hits including Midnight Sun, Pretty Ugly and Stateside.<\/p>\n
Without skipping a beat, Larsson continued to perform effortlessly, despite only having the one heel. <\/p>\n
When the Today program shared the moment online<\/a>, fans turned up with nothing but praise for the singer\u2019s professionalism. <\/p>\n \u201cMic is always onnnnnn,\u201d one person applauded. <\/p>\n \u201cHer calf was working overtime,\u201d another observed. <\/p>\n And another added: \u201cNo heel but the show must go on \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n Shortly after the concert, the singer took a moment to thank fans for the epic turnout at the live show and poke fun at the wardrobe mishap. <\/p>\n \u201cI was soooo nervous this morning because my voice was literally gone \u2026 But we pushed thru!!! I had so much fun! Thank you to everyone for pulling up on me so early,\u201d she shared on Instagram<\/a>. <\/p>\n \u201cWe also did lush life with one heel loool,\u201c she added, along with photographic evidence of the breakage. <\/p>\n The Grammy-nominated star, known for her daring, bedazzled outfits, has spoken publicly about the rush she gets when performing live – and with that increased resilience needed if things go wrong. <\/p>\n \u201cWhen I go on stage and I hold the microphone and it\u2019s live, it\u2019s like something clicks in me,\u201d she told The FADER<\/a>. <\/p>\n \u201cI just do things on stage that I never am able to do in the studio, like hold different notes or take a higher note than the one that I did in the booth.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know if it\u2019s the adrenaline, I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s the energy, I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s my listening, but something happens in me when I go on stage.\u201d<\/p>\n
