The club expressed its devastation at the loss, describing a sense of shock and disbelief, particularly with the prospect of Spence returning to play alongside them. <\/p>\n

The team returned to the pitch last week, where they dedicated their win to Spence. <\/p>\n

The crash is being investigated<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Police previously appealed for anyone with information to come forward, particularly anyone who may have dashcam footage from around the time of the crash<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Motorists on the Tar Hill highway between 8.30pm and 9.30pm were being urged to check their dashcam footage and contact police.<\/p>\n

Police were also asking the drivers of two truck-and-trailer units, northbound in a passing lane at the time of the accident, to contact them. <\/p>\n

Police believe one of the northbound trucks was nearly hit by a car involved in the collision, when it overtook a truck and returned to the southbound lane.<\/p>\n
