Florence Pugh is lining up another emotionally driven project, this time stepping into the world of fantasy with a story rooted in regret, second chances, and alternate lives. The actress will reportedly lead the movie, based on Matt Haig’s best-selling 2020 novel. With Garth Davis, best known for Lion, on board to direct, the film is already generating significant buzz as a deeply personal yet visually ambitious fantasy drama.

What do we know about the new Florence Pugh fantasy movie?

According to recent reports by Deadline, Florence Pugh will lead the upcoming fantasy movie, The Midnight Library.

The story is based on Matt Haig’s novel and is expected to remain true to the emotional themes that contributed to the book’s worldwide success. The film is expected to focus more on emotional storytelling than spectacle and aims to delve into personal regret, mental health, lost opportunities, and self-discovery through Nora’s journey across alternate realities.

Garth Davis takes the helm of the movie. Pugh plays Nora Seed, a woman who lands in a magical library suspended between life and death, where she gets the rare chance to step into every alternate life she could have lived. The studio describes the film as a big-budget ‘love letter to life’ that is both emotional and cinematic.

Early reports indicate that the filmmakers aim to preserve the intimate emotional tone of Haig’s novel while also delivering visually imaginative sequences. Each alternate life that Nora experiences could present audiences with entirely different worlds, relationships, and careers. This approach creates a fantasy story that feels deeply personal rather than merely escapist.

Florence Pugh will serve as a producer for the film, working alongside a talented creative team that reflects her deep commitment to bringing the story to life. The project is backed jointly by Studiocanal and Blueprint Pictures. The producing team includes Graham Broadbent, Pete Czernin, Anita Overland, and Florence Pugh herself. Studiocanal is actively promoting the film at the Cannes market, and insiders are calling it the largest-budget production the European studio has undertaken in years.

Although the studio has not confirmed an official release date, the film has already become one of Florence Pugh’s most high-profile upcoming roles.

Florence Pugh is lining up another emotionally driven project, this time stepping into the world of fantasy with…

[27
156,34819,216953,216954,3130,409,111,139,69,216955
post-422732","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-movies","tag-entertainment","tag-florence-pugh","tag-garth-davis","tag-matt-haig","tag-movie-news","tag-movies","tag-new-zealand","tag-newzealand","tag-nz","tag-the-midnight-library
["GET
